DIY wedding decor

So my upcoming wedding in March has sparked a huge crafting fever! All thanks to Pinterest for the overwhelming inspiration, I decided to make all of my decorations! Not only is it fun for me, but it's important to me that I didn't just buy everything. It's great to make something unique and special. Also, with many of the items I made, they aren't exactly "original" but they are handmade and special to me. So take a look at the various crafts I incorporated into my big day!

Wedding Signs
For these various signs I reused old picture frames! I placed scrapbook paper underneath the glass with hand drawn messages.

Another way to make unique wedding  signage is to use canvases! I painted small canvases with cute messages and added flowers and lace for elegance

 Here's another craft:

Picture banner

This is a cute way to display some engagement photos along the edge of a table or on a wall near your guest book table.

What you will need:
-canvas pennants
-yarn
-photos
-needle

So I picked up some canvas pennants shown here:

Then by weaving yarn through the pennants and some engagment pictures I was able to create a unique banner!

It would also be cute to paint hearts or letters on the pennants as well!

Wedding Favors

The last wedding craft (for now) would be the handmade candle favors me and my bridesmaids made!

Here's what you will need:

-candle
-votive candle holder
-tulle
-fabric
-raffia
-tags

This is a great favor because you can choose from hundreds of fabrics at your local craft store to personalize this craft! Here's how:

1. Cut the fabric in a circle shape larger than the diameter of the candle.

2. Apply personalized tag to the string or raffia.

3. Secure the fabric to the candle with the raffia.

And there you have a cute wedding favor!

I decided to add a custom sticker from vistaprint to the top of the candle for a more personal touch!
